On April 26, flight HY273 on the route Tashkent-Istanbul ended with the birth of a child on board. Childbirth began on approach to Istanbul. Passenger Sitora A. born in 1996 told the flight attendants with complaints of poor health. Cabin crew instructors, assessing the situation, asked the passengers on board and there were two doctors. Some time later, a boy was born at the 28th week of pregnancy. After a safe landing, the medical personnel of the Istanbul International Airport boarded the plane. The mother and the newborn were transported to the clinic, their condition is assessed as stable.
On behalf of the airline team, we congratulate the parents on the birth of our little compatriot, express our gratitude to the crew and doctors who assisted in this process on board. In memory of this event, Uzbekistan Airways will present memorable gifts to passengers who provided all possible assistance during childbirth. Perhaps a baby born on World Pilot Day may connect his life with the sky and aviation.
