Fare Rules for Uzbekistan Airways

The following tariff application rules apply to flights operated by Uzbekistan Airways JSC, where Uzbekistan Airways JSC is the flight operator.

An air ticket is an agreement between a passenger and an airline for the provision of passenger transportation services. The preliminary calculation of the cost of transportation is not an offer. The contract is considered concluded after payment of the full cost, in accordance with the applicable Rules for the application of tariffs, and after registration of the ticket. Uzbekistan Airways JSC reserves the right to make changes to the conditions for the application of tariffs until the moment when the ticket is issued to the passenger. Uzbekistan Airways JSC reserves the right to make changes to the conditions for the application of tariffs until the moment when the ticket is issued to the passenger.

Flight coupons are valid for flights in a strict sequence of the transportation route indicated on the ticket, starting from the departure point.

Reissuing or rebooking, if it is stipulated by the terms of the tariff:

If you change the booking class, fare type, route, carrier, or ticket validity period, you will need to reissue the ticket.

If the departure date or flight number changes, provided that the transportation route and fare type remain the same, rebooking is performed.

A fee is applied when the ticket is reissued or rebooked.

Upgrade of the service class from the LITE brand is not provided 

The fee for renewal and rebooking is set at a single level and depends on the type of tariff/brand. The fee is applied once, either for renewal or for rebooking. The fee for reissuing or rebooking is charged in accordance with the rules for applying the tariff for the originally issued ticket, that is, according to the tariff that is subject to change.

The fee for reissuing the ticket in connection with the name change in the passport data when replacing the passport is:

For an air ticket issued for transportation on domestic flights - 5 euros;

For an air ticket issued for transportation on international flights - 10 euros.

If there is a section of a foreign company in the ticket, changing the name or surname is prohibited.

A complete change of last name or first name is not allowed. It is allowed to correct no more than 3 letters in the surname / first name.

If several segments are reissued in one ticket, the reissue or rebooking fee is charged once according to the rules applicable to the most limited fare in transportation. When changing one segment, the rules of application to the tariff for this segment are used.

If the flight coupons intended for local transportation within the country in which the passenger applied to the carrier to reissue the ticket remain in the ticket submitted for reissue, then such ticket cannot be reissued for further international transportation. In this case, the ticket on the international route requested by the passenger must be issued anew as a new ticket for international transportation.

• in case of an upgrade, it is allowed to upgrade only to fares with the same refund conditions (i.e. it is prohibited to upgrade the booking class from non-refundable/baggage-free to refundable/or vice versa);

Refund if it is stipulated by the terms of the tariff:

The change/refund fee is determined by the time of the ticket refund/reissue/rebooking transaction and is not linked to the time of booking withdrawal.

If the ticket refund/reissue/rebooking transaction is made more than 1 hour before the departure of the flight indicated on the ticket, the prescribed fee will be charged in accordance with the fare rules. If the transaction is made less than 1 hour before the flight departure time or after the flight departure, an additional NO-SHOW fee will be charged.

At the same time, if the passenger checked in for the flight, including online check-in, but did not show up for boarding, a fee is charged for non-arrival on the flight.

Refunds for fully or partially unused air tickets are made in the country of sale of transportation.

Refunds are made in the currency of the original transportation payment. If the passenger is unable to return to the point of initial purchase of the ticket, the refund is made either to the passenger's authorized representative if he has a legally executed power of attorney, or in a claim procedure in the currency in which such a refund can be made under the circumstances.

The validity period of the refund ticket is 1 year.:

* in case of a completely unused ticket – from the date of sale of transportation 

* if it is partially used – from the date of the start of transportation indicated in the originally issued ticket.

In case of voluntary refusal of transportation, a fee for voluntary refusal is charged in accordance with the rules for the application of tariffs.

The basic principles of the refund are the following conditions:

If a refund is made for a completely unused ticket, the passenger will be refunded the amount paid for transportation with deduction of penalty fees for refunds, if such fees are established by the tariff application rules. In case of a completely unused ticket issued using different types of tariffs, penalties applicable to a more limited fare are applied.

The fee for using the booking system (YR) is deducted

If a refund is made for a partially used ticket, the passenger will be refunded the amount for the unused segment of transportation with the deduction of the refund fee, at the most limited tariff.

If there are several Pricing Units (PU) in one ticket, a refund fee is charged for each PU (both on the used route section and the unused one) at the most limited rate on each PU.

Pricing Unit (PU) is a part of the trip that is evaluated as a separate unit, for which a ticket can be purchased separately.

In this case, the refund amount is calculated as follows: the one-way fare for the used route, valid on the day of the sale of transportation, is deducted from the applied fare, with deduction of all necessary penalty fees. If the one-way tariff is not published, the one-way tariff of a higher level published on the date of sale of the carriage is applied.

In case of refund of air tickets, the following conditions apply for the LITE brand:

• Only published airport charges for unused transportation sections are subject to refund.

In the event of the death of a passenger or his immediate family who flew together, a refund is allowed without deduction of penalty fees, provided that supporting documents are provided, regardless of the type of fare applied.

Refunds for unused air tickets purchased on the website of Uzbekistan Airways JSC are not made automatically in the following cases:

1. If the passenger is refused transportation because he is on the list of persons prohibited from entry by the authorized state authorities of the destination country.

2. In case of refusal to transport a passenger for health reasons 

3. Other cases of ticket refund requiring the provision of supporting documents.

4. In case of death of a passenger

To refund air tickets for the above reasons, you must contact the branch of Uzbekistan Airways sales and have with you the supporting documents corresponding to the reason for the refund, namely:

1. «Flight Cancellation Certificate »

2. «The act of refusal to provide transportation services »

3. Passenger’s death certificate
