Pilgrimage tourism development

On December 9, chaired by President Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev, a video conference was held to discuss the ongoing work in the field of tourism and sports, as well as tasks for the coming year, during which specific tasks were set for the development of pilgrim tourism.

In order to implement these tasks and attract pilgrims from Indonesia and provide favorable conditions for their flights, on December 15 this year, negotiations were held in the Directorate of Uzbekistan Airways JSC between the leaders of the Association of Indonesian Travel Agencies ASITA and PT.Patihindo Permai, as well as the Uzbek travel company Tour Emir.

During the talks, ASITA President Dr. N. Rusmiati noted the measures being implemented in our country to develop pilgrimage tourism and the opening of direct flights Tashkent-Jakarta-Tashkent from May 2019.

In a meeting, the leadership of Uzbekistan Airways JSC, Mrs. Dr. N. Rusmiati, voiced special proposals for organizing charter flights on the Tashkent-Jakarta-Tashkent route, based on the current situation associated with the pandemic.

In turn, these proposals were positively received by Mrs. N. Rusmiati, and the parties agreed to start operating charter flights on the Tashkent-Jakarta-Tashkent route from January 2021.
