Today, on March 20, 2024, Uzbekistan Airways operated a technical flight for the first time in the airline’s history on the Tashkent - Kokand - Tashkent direction.

Airbus A320neo aircraft’s crew - pilots Amrillo Nutfullaev, Bektemir Gereev and Sergey Bykov landed at the renovated Kokand airport. Pilot Amrillo Nutfullaev shared his impressions of this flight:

  • “The weather was clear as we took off from Tashkent at 8:00 am. Covering 228 kilometers in just 33 minutes, we were welcomed with a water arch, following aviation traditions. I am pleased to have completed the first flight, even if it was a technical one, to the newly renovated airport in Kokand”, said Amrillo Nutfullaev.

It is noteworthy that flights to Kokand have not been operational for over 20 years. With the approach of the Navruz holiday, residents of Tashkent and Kokand now have another travel destination within the Republic of Uzbekistan.
