This year, Uzbekistan Airways celebrated its 32nd anniversary since its establishment. Throughout these years, Uzbekistan Airways has established itself as a reliable and safe carrier, solidifying its position in the international market. Active development of civil aviation, competent management, and a high level of staff training have collectively influenced the positive image of our airline.

Today, Uzbekistan Airways is one of the largest airlines in Central Asia, with a dynamically developing route network and aircraft fleet, continuously working to improve the quality of services and products. Year after year, we continue to earn the trust of our passengers, evidenced by the increasing passenger flow: during 2020 - 2021, despite the challenging pandemic period, the airline transported more than 3 million passengers, 4.2 million were carried in 2022, and by the end of 2023, we transported a record number of passengers – 5 million.

Currently, the Uzbekistan Airways fleet consists of 39 aircraft, including modern liners from the world's leading aviation manufacturers – Boeing and Airbus. In the past year 2023, the airline added five Airbus A320neo aircraft and two Let L-410s to its fleet, and also incorporated five ATR-72 aircraft as part of the Silk Avia airline. In the next 3-5 years, it is planned to introduce more than 20 new aircraft into the fleet. Also, in the coming years, the expansion of the Silk Avia airline's fleet is being considered.

Thanks to smart work organization and deep market analysis of air transport, Uzbekistan Airways is actively expanding its flight geography and annually opens new destinations. Currently, we operate flights to more than 75 destinations worldwide, have representations in 28 foreign countries, and cooperate with other global airlines in the fields of Interline and Code-share agreements. In 2023, Uzbekistan Airways resumed flights from Tashkent to Beijing, Jakarta, Urumqi, Bangkok, and Phuket. New regular flights from Tashkent to Munich, Ankara, Grozny, Blagoveshchensk, and Khabarovsk were also initiated. As a result, the number of flights conducted in 2023 increased to more than 32,000. In the first half of 2024, the resumption of flights to Rome, Mumbai, Batumi, and the opening of a new regular route to Nha Trang are expected.

To develop domestic tourism and create conditions for the citizens of our republic, there is a plan to increase flights on all intrarepublican routes due to the development of the Silk Avia airline network. Moreover, the work of airports that had ceased their operations decades ago is gradually being resumed. In 2023, following the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a project for constructing an airport in Zaamin, Jizzax region, was implemented. On March 22 of this year, the Kokand airport was ceremonially opened. Passenger flights to Zaamin and Kokand are carried out daily on L-410 aircraft. New regular passenger flights on the Nukus-Muynak-Nukus route are also being introduced.

Developing the route network, creating the most comfortable flight conditions, and providing affordable services and products to our passengers are key tasks for our airline in the coming years. There is still much work ahead, but thanks to the high level of professionalism and unity of our team, we are confident that we can implement all planned projects and confirm our leadership in the region.
