Nowadays because of civil aviation it is possible not only to quickly pass the distance, but also to enjoy the journey already during the flight. 

P.S. Below you can find some interesting facts about how civil aviation in Uzbekistan appeared.

10 facts from the history of civil aviation of Uzbekistan:

  1. 1923 – establishment of the Turkestan Aeronautics Society in Tashkent.
  2. 1924 – first passenger flight on the aircraft «Junkers R-13» on the route Tashkent-Pispek-Almaty.
  3. 1924-1930 – Kagan airport, the main base of the first aircraft, was used as an intermediate for flights on the routes Tashkent-Bukhara-Khiva-Turtkul and Tashkent-Bukhara-Karshi-Termez.
  4. 1924 – establishment of the first workshop for repair of aircrafts in Tashkent.
  5. 1941 – establishment the first regional school of pilots and aircraft service specialists in Uzbekistan.
  6. 1960 – exploitation of aircrafts such as An-24, Yak-40, Il-62, Tu-154.
  7. 1956 – exploitation of the first Mi-4 helicopter in Tashkent.
  8. 1973 – establishment of the Air Traffic Control System, before that a traffic service operated in 1930.
  9. 1992 – establishment of National Air Company (NAC) «Uzbekistan havo yo‘llari».
  10. 1993 –  beginning of operation Airbus aircrafts, and the first Boeing was received in 1996.
