In honour of the launch of the new destination, a solemn ceremony was held at Manohar International Airport, where representatives of the airline, BSP-consolidators and airport management, as a sign of respect for Indian traditions, jointly lit candles and cut a festive cake.
Alexander Goncharenko was the first passenger to check-in for flight HY430. In total, Uzbekistan Airways welcomed more than 80 passengers on board: students going to Novosibirsk to study and travelers wishing to discover Uzbekistan. Each of them was presented with a gift from the airline and the airport before the flight.
“Uzbekistan Airways for the first time in its history has launched regular flights from Tashkent to Goa, which will operate twice a week: on Wednesdays and Sundays. This flight will connect Goa residents not only with the cities of Uzbekistan but also with Russia. We have established a strong relationship with the management of Manohar Airport and today's ceremony is a testimony to that,” shared Anish Arya, BSP Consolidator, Arya Enterprises.
At the end of the event, airline representatives presented Uzbekistan Airways flight crew members with a cake and bouquets of flowers.
Goa is the third city in India where Uzbekistan Airways operates regular flights. The airline's passengers can also travel to Mumbai on Mondays and Saturdays and to Delhi any day of the week. Tickets are available for purchase at booking.uzairways.com, on the app, at Uzbekistan Airways Sales branch and at the airline's agents.
