Uzbekistan Airways hosted a meeting with passengers of flight HY273 Tashkent - Istanbul, which was operated on April 26 - on Pilot’s Day, and which has already become one of the most significant for the airline.
The airline's management, headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the airline, Umid Khusanov, expressed gratitude to the passengers for their responsiveness and quick reaction to the flight attendants’ request for first aid.
During the meeting, the doctor of medical sciences, an employee of the Department of Otolaryngology and Dentistry of the Tashkent Medical Academy, Shoira Makhamadaminova, and an independent researcher of the Department of Otolaryngology and Dentistry, Akmal Makhmudov, shared their impressions about the flight: “We flew to Istanbul to participate in the conference,” says Sh. Makhamadaminova, “more than three hours passed, then we heard an announcement: is there a doctor on board the aircraft? Akmal and I immediately reacted to it. We approached and saw that the pregnant woman needed help. I have never participated in birth process, but we were taught this in our student years. I got ready, remembered all the lectures, and we started ... We did not even feel that the plane was landing and we were told: “Be careful, we are landing!”. The birth on board was successful. I am very grateful to the Almighty that everything was well.”
During the event, the invited guests were presented with gifts from the airline. Uzbekistan Airways once again expresses its gratitude to every passenger on board the aircraft for their concern and moral support.
