On December 22, in honor of the launch of business aviation in Uzbekistan, “Uzbekistan Airways” held a presentation of the first Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, which has been in operation since November 2021. The event was attended by representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, bloggers and the media.
As part of the presentation, the pilot of the Pilatus PC-12 aircraft listed several facts about the new aircraft and said that this aircraft is characterized by low operating costs, unique take-off and landing characteristics that allow them to land on short and unprepared runways. This opens up access for Pilatus PC-12 aircraft for flights to most airports in Uzbekistan, about 40% of which are equipped with just such airways. The airline representatives said that in the near future Uzbekistan Airways plans to purchase Pilatus PC-24, thereby opening up new opportunities for entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.
“Today, business aviation is one of the basic directions in terms of providing maximum comfort and convenience for passengers who need to fly in a direction not included in the route network of this or that airline. However, the main advantages of such a flight are undoubtedly the limited number of passengers on board, time frames and increased comfort. It is for such purposes that our airline offers business passengers to use a completely new service - organizing a business flight on board the Pilatus PC-12, ”said Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of ” Uzbekistan Airways” JSC.
And also, within the framework of the meeting, new Airbus
H-125 helicopters were presented, which are adapted for operation in high altitude and hot climates, ideal for passenger and VIP transportation, sightseeing tours, law enforcement tasks, firefighting, observation operations, and also for medical transportation. In the near future, the fleet of helicopters will also be replenished with a light, quiet and powerful single-engine Airbus H130 helicopter.
For the participants of the presentation, a detailed inspection of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft and the Airbus H-125, Mi-8MTV helicopter was organized, as well as two demonstration flights over Tashkent, which clearly confirmed the high flight technical and takeoff and landing characteristics.
