Uzbekistan Airways Chairman of the Board meets with crew who assisted in giving birth on board

Today, on February 3, Uzbekistan Airways’ Chairman of the Board Shukhrat Khudaykulov met with the crew of a Boeing 787 aircraft that came into the spotlight after a woman gave birth on board a Tashkent – New York flight on January 28. 

The meeting was held at the airline's main office, where Chairman of the Board praised the professionalism and coherence of the crew for successfully helping a woman give birth right in the aircraft. Experienced flight attendants and pilots were on board, as well as doctors – obstetrician and surgeon, who provided all the necessary conditions for safe delivery. 

Shukhrat Khudaykulov expressed his gratitude to the crew for their competence and heroism, and also presented flowers and certificates of honour to the crew members – pilot-instructor Ruslan Almamedov, commander Rustamdjan Buribayev, co-pilots Botir Niyazov va Sardor Shadjaliyev, pursers Gulnoza Giyasova and Elnora Abduganiyeva, flight attendants Ekaterina Dolgix, Ibroxim Muhammadaminov, Ramil Xaneyev, Natalya Yugay, Xasanbek Xabibiy, Xudoynazar Abdurayimov, Rayxona Sobirova, Munisa Kurbanova and Shaxnoza Zakirova.  

This case is a vivid example of the high level of training and professionalism of Uzbekistan Airways employees, who daily ensure the safety and comfort of passengers at all stages of the flight.
