Members’ use of reward points
When collecting a certain number of award points, a participant in any of the UzAirPlus programs has the right to receive a reward in the form of an award ticket or an award upgrade.
The presence of a sufficient number of bonus points on the account, accumulated or received by the participant, does not guarantee the receipt of a premium service in the absence of established quotas of seats in X/Z classes on the required date.
Premium air tickets and air tickets with premium upgrades are issued only for the company’s own regular flights. For flights operated by other companies under interline agreements or codeshares, award air tickets and award upgrades are not available.
Premium class upgrades are not available for air tickets issued:
- on direct routes at tariffs -NB/-LT/-1P;
- for air tickets issued at “Promotion”tarifs (L, U, S, O, P, R);
- on through routes with booking classes- Q-/W-/E-/N-/H;
- through-the-line tariffs within the framework of commercial SPA agreements;
- for tickets issued under interline agreements with local tariffs;
- for air tickets issued under interline agreements for flights of third-party airlines;
- for air tickets issued within the framework of codeshare agreements.
Premium upgrade service is allowed on any section of the paid ticket both before and after the start of transportation, except for the conditions specified in clause 6.3.4. of these rules, as well as with the exception of tickets with through routes. For tickets with through routes other than those indicated above, an upgrade is allowed only along the entire route without dividing into sections. For air tickets in which the cost of each section is not determined, but the cost of the route is indicated, the excess of the class of service cannot be performed for a section of the route, but can only be performed for the route for which the cost is indicated.
When an award ticket is provided, the number of points required to receive an award ticket on the route chosen by the passenger is withdrawn from the participant’s personal account. JSC flight routes are divided into zones based on the flight direction. Zone No. 1 has been designated for intra-republican directions. The second and subsequent zones are distributed for routes of international destinations, based on the kilometer of the flight range. The number of award points required for write-off is determined by Appendix A “Use of award points to obtain air tickets for flights of Uzbekistan Airways JSC.”
The following premium booking classes are established for issuing an award ticket;
- “Z” class – booking seats in the business class cabin;
- “X” class – booking seats in the economy class cabin.
The number of seats for “Z” and “X” booking classes is limited by a quota that is set on each flight depending on the type aircraft operating the flight, seasonality and other factors affecting passenger demand.
The airline reserves the right to refuse to book a premium flight for a specific date and flight if there are no seats in the premium booking class.
When purchasing award air tickets or award upgrades, the member pays published government, airport and all applicable fees.
Issuance of a premium air ticket, premium upgrade or provision of another premium service can be made on the JSC website (uzairways.com), at the branch of “Uzbekistan Airways sales” JSC, ticket offices at airports in the Republic of Uzbekistan, at JSC Representative Offices abroad if you have the required number of active points on participant’s account.
JSC reserves the right to unilaterally change the number of award points to be used when issuing award tickets. When the airline opens new flight routes, the base number of award points is calculated based on the mileage and flight zones defined in Appendix A
If there are not enough premium points on the account, a participant in any program can purchase the missing points to receive a premium service.
Points are sold in packs of 1000 points with a fee of EUR 30 per pack. The owner of a personal account during a calendar year can buy no more than 50,000 (50 packages of 1000 points) premium points, the cost for selling premium points is set at 1 point = 0.030euro cent.
The purchased packages can be issued by the account holder for their award ticket.
Premium points can only be purchased online on the JSC website https://www.uzairways.com.
Reward points are purchased by issuing an EMD. Notification of the accrual of purchased points to the participant’s account is sent to the e-mail of the participant-account holder.
Purchased points are non-refundable and are not taken into account to determine participant status. The validity period of purchased points for use is 36 months from the date of purchase.
Individual members of the program have the opportunity to purchase some airline services (only for their air ticket) by paying for them with award points.
Payment by individual participants for additional baggage allowance with bonus points (only for their air ticket) is made only on the JSC website based on:
Published rate for extra piece/kg baggage (EUR) = Points 0.01
Where – 0/01 – is the estimated value of the award point.
For example: The rate for 1 piece of excess baggage on the route requested by the passenger is 45 EUR. 45:0.01=4500 points. Thus, to pay for excess baggage, a member needs 4,500 points.
If the rate for excess baggage payment was published in a currency other than Euro, then the amount of such tariff must be converted into euros at the rate (in the PSS system) in effect on the date if issuance of the EMD for excess baggage payment.
During the annual recalculation of status points to determine the status of a Program participant for the next year, the Participant can purchase the missing status points in an amount of no more than:
- for PREMIUM level participants - 7000 status points up to SILVER level,
- for SILVER level participants - 12,000 status points up to GOLD level.
