Uzbekistan Airways asks to comply with baggage rules and regulations

In connection with the increase in cases when passengers secretly try to carry bulky baggage on board an aircraft in the form of hand luggage, which negatively affects flight safety, Uzbekistan Airways recalls the need to comply with the rules and norms of free baggage transportation.

If during boarding unchecked baggage is found that exceeds both the carry-on baggage allowance and the total allowance for all baggage, the passenger will be obliged to pay for its carriage at a double rate.

Such baggage is checked in and marked with numbered identification tags "Limited release" and transported in the baggage-cargo hold of the aircraft as checked baggage. If there is no free area to carry such baggage or there is not enough time to check it, Uzbekistan Airways has the right to refuse guaranteed transportation of this baggage on the flight the passenger is taking. Such baggage is sent to the destination on the following flights, on which there will be free area for it. In this case, Uzbekistan Airways is not responsible for delayed baggage delivery.

If the passenger refuses to pay for the revealed excess hand luggage or baggage, the airline has every right to refuse to carry this baggage.

In this regard, we recommend that all passengers familiarize themselves with the airline's baggage rules in advance, find out how much baggage a passenger can take with him and how to register the right to carry additional baggage.
