Uzbekistan Airways Technics is a division of Uzbekistan Airways JSC, which for 100 years has specialized in maintenance and repair of aircraft, engines and components. Over the century-long history, a small workshop with 16 employees has grown into one of the leading repair enterprises in the aviation industry in Central Asia.
Today, November 12, Uzbekistan Airways Technics celebrates its 100th anniversary. In honor of the significant date, a festive event was held with participation of Uzbekistan Airways management, Transport Minister Ilkhom Mahkamov, Transport Prosecutor Ikrom Narimov, veterans and specialists who have worked at the enterprise for decades, and employees of the airline.
As part of the celebration, held under the slogan “A Story Long in Life”, the best employees of Uzbekistan Airways Technics, who have shown high professionalism for many years of work at the company, were recognized.
"Having such a big family behind us - a huge Uzbekistan Airways team - I am confident that we will be able to fulfill all the tasks we face with honor and dignity, and in the future we will strive only for new heights. A lot has been done in recent years both for our company and for the development of Uzbekistan Airways as a whole. Thanks to the visionary approach of our esteemed President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the support of the government, today we are working as a united, cohesive team, ready for new challenges and successes,” said Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways.
Director of Uzbekistan Airways Technics LLC and First Deputy Chairman of the Board for Production Umid Khusanov also addressed his warm congratulations to the staff of the airline. He thanked all employees for their valiant labor, wished peace, prosperity and success in future work.
On the jubilee day, the participants of the solemn event recalled the years of formation of the aircraft repair enterprise, its traditions of aircraft maintenance and training of qualified aircraft maintenance technicians, significant successes and achievements that allowed Uzbekistan Airways Technics to become one of the world's recognized leaders in the field of aircraft maintenance and repair. At the end of the celebration, the guests were treated to a concert program with the performance of popular DJ Piligrim.
The history of Uzbekistan Airways Technics dates back to November 1924, when the first aircraft repair workshops were opened under the “Dobrolyot” company. In 1937, on the basis of this company, Aircraft Repair Plant No. 243 of the Civil Aviation was established. In 2002, the plant was transformed into Uzbekistan Airways Technic aircraft repair enterprise. Currently, almost 2000 specialists work here, who strive to provide Uzbekistan Airways and other airlines' passengers with a safe flight.
